Equalize 2021 Pitch Competition Award
Equalize is a virtual mentoring and pitching competition intended to take national action on the disparity of women academic inventors that make up university startups. This year's people's choice award in the MedTech cohort was obtained by Dr. Yun for her pitch showcasing EMPIRI's state-of-the-art 3D-culturing technology.

Acceptance for the NIH Applicant Assistance Program for Small Businesses
Empiri was accepted to participate in the NIH AAP. The program aims to assist small businesses to prepare for Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. The AAP will provide mentorship, application assistance and review. This is an exciting opportunity for Empiri that takes us one step closer to our goal of excelling as a small business.
